DST Health Solutions Signs Emergency Department Administration Outsourcing Contract with Southledge Services Corp.
BIRMINGHAM, Ala., January 4, 2006—DST Health Solutions has signed a business process outsourcing (BPO) services contract with Southledge Services Corp., based in Birmingham, Ala. Southledge Services is the billing and management arm of 4MD2, a Florida-based emergency physician staffing company.
DST Health Solutions, a wholly-owned subsidiary of DST Systems, Inc., will manage medical coding, billing and collections related to emergency physician and inpatient services provided by 4MD2 at three hospital facilities located in northwestern Florida. Southledge Services will transmit all billing records, generated from approximately 84,000 annual patient encounters, in electronic format to DST Health Solutions for coding and billing.
DST Health Solutions’ BPO staff utilizes business process management (BPM) software applications MDr PracticeManager™ and Automated Work Distributor™ (AWD®) to accomplish physician practice administration. These applications are proprietary to DST Health Solutions and DST Technologies, Inc., respectively. DST Technologies, Inc. is an affiliate of DST Health Solutions.
