DST Health Solutions Expands Business Process Outsourcing Agreement with MetroPlus Health Plan

Front-End Scanning, Imaging and Data Entry Services Designed to Reduce Claim Processing Turnaround Time and Improve Member Satisfaction

BIRMINGHAM, Ala., March 24, 2006—DST Health Solutions announced today that it has expanded its business process outsourcing agreement with MetroPlus Health Plan, adding advanced front-end data entry services for health claims. DST Health Solutions will begin assisting MetroPlus with front-end claims processing services in the first quarter of 2006. DST Health Solutions is a wholly owned subsidiary of DST Systems, Inc.

DST Health Solutions will perform claims data entry for MetroPlus using the latest scanning, imaging and optical character recognition (OCR) technology designed to quickly and efficiently enter claims into the adjudication system. MetroPlus currently uses DST Health Solutions’ PowerSTEPP™ health plan administration system hosted in DST Health Solutions’ data center to accomplish claims processing for its members. PowerSTEPP™ is an enterprise-level software solution that supports health plan business operations, including claims processing, member and provider management, and benefit plan management.
