ASI Selected by Top 10 U.S. Health Plan to Deliver Integrated Consumer-Directed Healthcare Solution

Care Choices Partners With ASI to Ensure Delivery of "Ultimate Customer Experience"

ROCKVILLE, Md. (February 1, 2006) –Care Choices, a health benefits management company and a subsidiary of Trinity Health that was recently identified as one of the Top 10 commercial health plans in the United States*, has selected ASI to provide comprehensive consumer-directed healthcare (CDH) administration services in support of their new CDH product.
Under the terms of the agreement, ASI will provide Care Choices with an integrated CDH administration solution that includes provision of industry-leading software as well as comprehensive business services:

  • HRA Support – including group entry, fund management, HRA claims processing and reporting for HRA accounts.
  • HSA Support – including enrollment services, HSA claims processing, management of fund withdrawals, distributions and contributions, and web-based account holder services for HSA accounts. HSA custodial services and debit card services are provided through ASI’s strategic partnerships with Mellon and Evolution Benefits.
  • CallCenter Services - Care Choices works in tandem with ASI to deliver comprehensive customer service to support their CDH clients.

Care Choices currently offers several CDH product offerings and believes the demand for these products will continue to increase because they provide individuals with increased levels of control and an ability to efficiently manage their healthcare costs.

“Care Choices is committed to providing the ultimate customer experience to our members,” said Laurie Westfall, chief operations officer, Care Choices. “ASI’s depth and breadth of experience in software and administration services made it a natural fit for a partnership with us—they meet our standards for quality.” Westfall also notes that Care Choices used an integrated approach to broadening their member self-service capabilities. “Care Choices leveraged the Subimo decision support tools to complement our CDH offering with ASI. We strategically did this to make sure members had the right tools in hand to make better informed decisions in managing their new CDH benefits. Furthermore, a single sign-on feature through AboveHealth expands the offerings to our existing Internet self-service portal and allows members to check their personal information and the status of their accounts.”
