ASI Selected by Group Health Incorporated to Partner in Development of Consumer-Directed Healthcare Product

ROCKVILLE, Md. (March 23, 2006) – Group Health Incorporated (GHI), a New York health insurer providing health coverage and administrative services to more than 2.6 million individuals, has selected ASI to partner in the development of their new consumer-directed healthcare (CDH) product.

One of the longest operating healthcare companies in New York, GHI sought a partner to not only provide complete spending account administration but also to help prepare the organization to operate in a more consumer-centric manner across all products. “ASI’s extensive experience and in depth knowledge of the CDH market, combined with a proven solution that currently administers nearly 400,000 CDH lives, made them an ideal choice for GHI,” commented Frank Branchini, CEO.

Under the terms of the three-year agreement, ASI will provide GHI with an integrated CDH administration solution that includes provision of industry-leading software as well as complete Health Savings Account (HSA) administration and call center services. Additionally, ASI will provide GHI with online access to Subimo’s decision support tools and My ePHIT’s health and wellness tools to facilitate consumer engagement.
