ASI Expands Product Portfolio With Introduction of Advanced Operational Data Store

Sophisticated Data Repository Streamlines Reporting and Integration Capabilities for AMISYS Advance Users

ROCKVILLE, Md. (April 12, 2006) – ASI, the market leader of advanced software products and in-depth outsourcing and claims processing services for healthcare payers, today introduced its Advanced Operational Data Store (ODS). Designed for rapid and simplified data retrieval, Advanced ODS facilitates comprehensive reporting and analysis by extracting data from complex production files to maximize efficiency.

“Organizations can use the Advanced ODS repository to efficiently generate daily operational reports, perform Online Analytical Analysis, and create snapshots, summary tables and executive dashboards,” said Tom Hurley, ASI’s Chief Technology Officer. “AMISYS data can also be easily integrated with internal and external systems.”

Advanced ODS frees the production system from standard and ad hoc reporting and enables the system to complete routine production runs such as Claims Payable, Billing and Membership updates. The product also eliminates the need for costly programming resources, enabling healthcare organizations to add their own tables and maps, interface with external systems and build operational data marts to best accommodate their own unique requirements.

Advanced ODS delivers an array of valuable features and benefits to health plans looking to streamline their reporting and integration capabilities, including:

  • Facilitates comprehensive reporting and analytical capabilities – Data extracted from AMISYS Advance, including employer, membership, provider and utilization data, is housed and translated for easy access and processing.
  • Flexible, state-of-the-art technology – The Oracle-based application features standard relational database constructs, supporting interactions with any extraction or reporting tools capable of using the ODBC or JDBC connectivity methods.
  • Efficient data loading – Advanced ODS enhances data loading efficiency, providing the ability to load all claims membership or just most recent activity, depending on business needs.

Advanced ODS is compatible with all generally available releases of AMISYS Advance and can be run on the same or separate Unix server.
